Clinical Microbiology for New Educators

Are you a new educator looking to translate what you do in practice into a strong education course? This session includes course organization and innovative activities to teach students what they need to know about clinical microbiology.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will be able to:
1.Use a systematic course design process to plan and structure your course and syllabus to effectively reach desired instructional goals.
2.Identify engaging content, assessment strategies, and teaching tools that support learning outcomes.
3.Align academic curriculum with laboratory activities that build clinical practice readiness in clinical microbiology.

CE ACCREDITATION

This recorded presentation is P.A.C.E. ® accredited. The instruction level for this activity is Intermediate. One (1) P.A.C.E. ® contact hour and one and one (1) Florida credit hour in the area Microbiology will be awarded to participants. ASCLS P.A.C.E.® is accepted by the ASCP/ASCLS/AGT Board of Certification and all states, including Florida and California, as an approved provider of continuing education for recertification and licensure.
