Scaling Up: 0 to 5,000 Samples a Day in Response to COVID-19

Implementing a scalable process is critical to meet the high demand of SARS-CoV-2 molecular testing. This talk will discuss the process of transitioning a previously manual testing procedure to a semi-automated process while maintaining key quality assurance checkpoints.

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will be able to:

  1. Asses skill sets in candidates from diverse training backgrounds.
  2. Identify bottlenecks in a system process
  3. Discuss implementing scalable quality assurance programs
