You are invited to join an EPIDEMic to improve patient care. Dr. Yaolin Zhou, an ASCP Choosing Wisely champion, will discuss healthcare value, test utilization, and algorithmic approaches to molecular genetic testing so you, too, can apply the EPIDEM Model of Quality Improvement to optimize patient care at your institution.

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will be able to:

  1. Explain the concept of healthcare value
  2. Analyze the evidence behind Choosing Wisely items relevant to pathology
  3. Incorporate the EPIDEM model and its emphasis on culture, context, and resources to successfully implement strategies for improving laboratory test utilization

One (1) P.A.C.E. ® contact hour and one (1) Florida credit hour in the area of Administration/Cytogenetics/Molecular Biology will be awarded to participants.
