Laboratory Accreditation: Staying Within the Lines As Drawn

This talk will cover how laboratories are accredited, by whom and how.  Strategies on how to be prepare and engage during an inspection and how to resolve issues.  The most common deficiencies/citations will be discussed. The overall goal is prepare the participant to approach accreditation as a partner experience toward a goal of quality.

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will be able to
  1. Identify the accrediting agencies for laboratories.
  2. Describe strategies to prepare for inspections.
  3. Identify the most common deficiencies/citations encountered during inspections.

One (1) P.A.C.E. ® contact hour and one (1) Florida credit hour in the area General/Admin will be awarded to participants.
