Ensuring the quality of laboratory testing services is a supervisory and managerial responsibility. This session will provide tools and methods to measure the quality of laboratory testing services using the patient safety framework of safe, effective, efficient, timely, patient-centered and equitable.
At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will be able to
- Define patient safety with respect to laboratory testing services.
- List one specific method to improve laboratory patient safety.
- Discuss one method to measure laboratory patient safety.
