From the 2021 Clinical Laboratory Educators Conference (CLEC) - Recorded February 26, 2021
Presented by Esther Biswas, PhD, MB(ASCP)CM and Sam Biswas, PhD
Accrediting bodies require evidence that each component of knowledge delivered in a program adequately prepares students to pass certification/licensure exams, and to practice competently within that profession. This session reviews several learning management tools in providing data-driven insight into student learning outcomes and exam security in face-to-face and distance learning.
At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will be able to
- Explain the differences between ExamSoft and other common learning management systems in terms of mapping student learning outcomes to body of knowledge competencies.
- Evaluate the strengths and weakness of browser-lock down software, artificial intelligence and remote live proctoring in ensuring exam security.
- Describe the benefits of electronic-based assessment platforms in terms of administrative efficiency, cost and carbon footprint.
