From the 2021 Clinical Laboratory Educators Conference (CLEC) - Recorded February 27, 2021
Presented by Kathleen Finnegan, MS, MT(ASCP)SHCM, Leigh Belair, MEd, MT(ASCP), and Laura Parendo, MBA, MAM, MT(ASCP),
Lab training programs are expensive; it can be a challenge to teach best practices with limited funding. We are frequently asked to do more with less and rely on vendors, affiliates, and industry for donations. Presenters will share ideas, experiences, and a letter of solicitation to obtain resources and grants.
At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will be able to:
- Explore ways of obtaining resources for your student lab with a limited budget.
- Determine how to collaborate with industry to increase resources.
- Review how to write a state of need letter to increase funding.
