Today’s laboratory students will likely advance to leadership positions quicker than previous generations. This session will provide several ideas and strategies you can easily implement in your program, including projects designed to develop strong interprofessional relationships, improve communication skills, and provide students with multiple opportunities to practice powerful leadership tactics.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will be able to:

  1. Explain the importance of incorporating Interprofessional activities in your Clinical Lab Program
  2. Provide examples of projects that emphasize improving communication and leadership skills
  3. Discuss opportunities to engage students in Interprofessional collaboration

CE ACCREDITATION
ASCLS is approved as a provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences by the ASCLS P.A.C.E. ® Program. One (1) P.A.C.E. ® contact hour and one (1) Florida credit hour in the area Education/General will be awarded to participants. ASCLS P.A.C.E.® is accepted by the ASCP/ASCLS/AGT Board of Certification and all states, including Florida and California, as an approved provider of continuing education for recertification and licensure. ASCLS is an approved provider with CE Broker for Florida licensees.
