Common Pediatric Poisonings: The Lab's Role in Recognizing Exposures

This presentation will use a case-based approach to review some of the most common sources of toxicity in children.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the common routes of toxic exposures in children
  • Recognize the clinical findings associated with drug and lead poisonings in children
  • Discuss the role of the clinical laboratory in recognizing and diagnosing toxic exposures in pediatrics

CE ACCREDITATION
