In this session, learners will put their diagnostic and clinical
microbiology knowledge to the test as they work through a series of clinical
cases to identify the pathogen(s) responsible for some interesting and unusual
syndromes.
LEARNING
OBJECTIVES
At the
conclusion of this presentation, participants will be able to:
- Discuss clinical presentations of challenging infectious disease cases.
- Explain the selection and interpretation of microbiologic testing to solve clinical cases.
- Integrate diagnostic laboratory and clinical information to resolve the differential diagnosis of an infectious process.
CE ACCREDITATION
ASCLS is approved as a provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences by the ASCLS P.A.C.E. ® Program. One (1) P.A.C.E. ® contact hour and one (1) Florida credit hour in the area of General (Microbiology) will be awarded to participants.
