What’s Up Doc? Aiding Physicians with Their Clinical Decision Making

Delve into the value of laboratory results and LOINCs as we review their utilization in the development of an EHR clinical decision support tool shown to aid more accurate, and quicker physician decision making with less cognitive work, and greater user satisfaction in the provision of quality patient care.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will be able to:

  • Identify two health data items or code systems utilized in the Problem Oriented View (POV)
  • List two ways Problem Concept Maps (PCM) improves clinical decision making and impacts the quality of patient care.
  • Describe the relationship of laboratory results to a patient problem.
