From the 2022 Joint Annual
Meeting (recorded 6/27/2022)
Presented by Charles
Darby and Jamie Disney, MSHS, MLS(ASCP)CM
Feeling appreciated is an
instrumental component of workplace satisfaction, and in life as well. The
method in which we deliver our message of appreciation needs to be as fitting
as possible to the needs of the individual receiving the message to be
effective. Not speaking in a language of appreciation that the receiver needs
can miss the mark completely. We will look at different "languages"
of showing appreciation, as well as help you decipher how you like to receive
appreciation.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this presentation,
participants will be able to:
- Identify what primary language others prefer for receiving appreciation.
- Identify what primary language they prefer for receiving appreciation.
- Cultivate an environment of giving and receiving appreciation in an effective manner.
