Teaching Evidence Based Laboratory Medicine (EBLM) Using Choosing Wisely

This session will discuss the different components of the A-6 cycle of evidence based laboratory medicine (EBLM). Attendees will learn strategies for using Choosing Wisely as a tool to learn and teach EBLM.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will be able to:

  • Review the different components of the A-6 cycle of EBLM.
  • Discuss the use of Choosing Wisely as a learning tool for teaching and learning EBLM.
  • Apply the A-6 cycle to a Choosing Wisely recommendation.

CE ACCREDITATION
ASCLS is approved as a provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences by the ASCLS P.A.C.E. ® Program. One (1) P.A.C.E. ® contact hour and one (1) Florida credit hour in the area of GEN (General) will be awarded to participants.
