This session will include an overview of Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) of 1988, as well as what impact all professionals can have on future requirements.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will be able to:

• Describe the guiding principles of CLIA, Outline the certification & survey systems
• Summarize the CLIA requirements for waived vs. nonwaived tests
• Describe what impact all professionals can have on future requirements.
