Next-generation sequencing (NGS) has moved from an expensive niche technique to standard technology, increasing demand for newly graduated technologists with direct NGS experience. We will share our experience with delivering an NGS and bioinformatics training experience in our clinical lab science program.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will be able to:

• Summarize the steps required to run a NGS lab
• identify different mechanisms for scheduling and delivering a NGS lab experience
• develop first level run data analysis and downstream bioinformatic analysis for the NGS lab

CE ACCREDITATION
