Trauma-Informed Care fosters
recovery and healing through safe and collaborative relationships. It
acknowledges the impact that our experiences have on our health and wellbeing,
including in the workplace. Trauma-Informed Supervision is a managerial
approach that acknowledges the importance of having a safe, consistent, and
reflective space to discuss emotions, concerns, needs, expectations, and
opportunities.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will be
able to
- Define Trauma-Informed Care and its five key principles
- Identify signs of secondary traumatic stress (STS) and what leaders and organizations can do to prevent it
- Apply Trauma-Informed Supervision in the laboratory setting
