The medical laboratory
profession is in a national workforce shortage crisis. Likewise, medical
laboratory education programs across all levels of academia are struggling to
find clinical placements for all degree paths. This presentation will explore
how hospitals, other healthcare laboratories, public health, and others can
build stronger relationships (new or ongoing) with our medical laboratory
education programs.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will be
able to
- Identify strategies for establishing a new or stronger ongoing relationship with a medical laboratory education program.
- Summarize examples of how to develop relationships with medical laboratory educational programs.
- Correlate how a strong relationship with a medical laboratory program can enhance both recruitment and retention of employees.
