An overview of the Laboratory
Revenue Cycle from different types of billing codes, how claims are processed,
managed care contracts, and denials management. This session will give you the
basic tools and language to work with your finance and revenue integrity teams
to monitor and improve laboratory billing.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will be
able to
- Describe the differences between CPT, CPT2, HCPCS, Z, and ICD10 codes.
- Summarize how laboratory claims are processed.
- Define claim adjudication.
