From the 2023 Clinical Laboratory Educators Conference
Presented by Samantha Peterson, MS, MLS(ASCP)CM, and Brooke Solberg, PhD, MLS(ASCP)CM
When grading student lab work, have you wondered if students understand, apply, or even read your feedback? We have! This session will discuss development and implementation of a new feedback approach that takes students beyond error awareness and requires them to analyze and apply what they’ve learned. It will also cover use of this approach in face-to-face and online hematology lab settings.
At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will be able to:
- List characteristics of feedback that optimize student learning
- Describe an approach to implement feedback that optimizes student learning
- Discuss applications of enhanced feedback methods in face-to-face and online hematology laboratory settings
This recorded presentation is P.A.C.E. ® accredited. One (1) P.A.C.E. ® contact hour and one (1) Florida credit hour in the area GEN will be awarded to participants.
