Creating graphic organizers
utilizing sketch note techniques becomes a powerful tool for students to
organize, clarify, or simplify complex information by helping students
construct understanding through an exploration of the relationships between
concepts. Graphic organizers and sketch notes are a useful scaffold to support
student learning, and increase BOC pass rates.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will be
able to:
- Discover how the graphic organizer and sketch notes will engage students in the learning process.
- Demonstrate how to utilize graphic organizers as a learning tool by engaging the student to develop a personal MLT/MLS curriculum STUDY GUIDE to aid in recall of concepts for better assessment results.
- Describe techniques for creating a comprehensive study guide and how utilizing graphic organizers and sketch notes to prepare for certification exams.
