The findings of a qualitative
study exploring the academic integrity related perspectives of medical
laboratory educators through a narrative inquiry of their lived experiences
will be discussed. Attendees will have the opportunity to compare study
participants’ experiences and practices with their own, and to consider study
participants’ recommendations for teaching academic integrity in medical
laboratory professional programs.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will be
able to:
- Summarize how study participants experienced academic integrity violations in their programs
- Discuss how study participants’ experiences with academic integrity violations have shaped their practice
- Apply study participants’ recommendations for teaching academic integrity in medical laboratory programs
