From the 2023 Clinical Laboratory Educators Conference
Presented by Sally Lewis, PhD, MLS(ASCP),MB,HTL
Development and incorporation of high-quality laboratory simulations may serve to augment clinical experiences that are difficult to obtain due to isolated location, worker shortages or that may be restricted in specialty areas such as microbiology and transfusion services. This presentation will highlight the experiences of Medical Laboratory Science faculty in creating relevant scenarios.
At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will be able to:
- Describe the benefist of high quality simulation exercises to augment clinical training.
- Identify possible scenarios that are the highest priority for incorporation into their own clinical training programs.
- Identify tools used to create high quality simulations.
This recorded presentation is P.A.C.E. ® accredited. One (1) P.A.C.E. ® contact hour and one (1) Florida credit hour in the area GEN will be awarded to participants.
