Veterans possess many soft
and hard skills taught during their service to the country. Challenges and
experiences by Department of Defense laboratorians are not always clearly
communicated to non-veterans. This presentation informs laboratory leadership on
how to evaluate veteran experiences so that leadership better understand
veteran accomplishments.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will be
able to
- Identify differences between DoD and Civilian Laboratorians
- Classify soft and hard skills possessed by many veterans
- Recall specific career paths for enlisted and officer laboratorians
