5S, RCA, LSS, 5 Whys—Quality is a language in and of itself but what does it all mean? How can it benefit the medical laboratory? Big Q quality contains some very powerful tools that can greatly benefit any medical laboratory with the right understanding of how to use and implement these tools. This is a crash course in basic quality tools and how to use them to benefit your medical laboratory as well as how to communicate these benefits through storytelling with data.

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will be able to

  • Define basic quality tools that many organizations utilize
  • Provide case studies of how to apply these tools in the medical laboratory even with limited resources
  • Demonstrate the value of these tools by teaching participants how to perform storytelling with data
