This session is intended for individuals wearing multiple hats in their current role. The presentation will include tips for managing the different aspects of a program and not getting overwhelmed.
Tips for Educator Sustainability
The role and expectations placed on educators by students and administration are no longer confined to the classroom. Navigating the psychosocial and emotional needs of students can contribute to educator burnout. This session will focus on strategies we can implement to help mitigate this stress.

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss organization techniques that provide structure for success. Describe techniques to improve your work environment. Discuss developing a support system.
  • Identify factors that contribute to educational stress of instructors. Explore differences in current student population that have changed the responsibilities of educators. Provide examples for faculty development surrounding resilience.
