Most of us have grown up reading, seeing, and maybe participating
in issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion, but may not have fully
evolved to a level of understanding in how to implement some of key concepts of
DEI into our work environment. Unintentional bias can easily creep into our
management practices, thus it is important to recognize and correct our actions
in order to maximize opportunities for staff development and satisfy their
professional needs. This session will cover some of these concepts and how to
implement them.

At the end of this session, the attendee will be able to:
- Describe key leadership principles
- Define Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)
- Apply DEI to hiring, managing, and retaining staff
